CHICHEN ITZA by A'oleah
Eara In July 1998 I visited Chichen Itza with Mary Locke and Stacy. Chichen Itza is a Mayan site in the Yucatan area of Mexico. My intent this trip was for all openings, clearing and activations that were appropriate to occur. I had only walked a few hundred feet from the entrance when I began to feel the energy of the site. It seemed to envelop me and breathing became labored. We first walked to the Pyramid of Kukulkan, more commonly known as El Castillo. (At the summer and winter equinoxes the shadow of a giant serpent descends the steps.) It sits in a large open area and the energy was not as tight around me. We then walked to the major ball court. I was drawn to a structure on one end. Standing looking up at the structure, which appeared to be an observation area, feeling like I was in a distortion I overheard Mary say to Stacy "I like the way she does that". I did not know what she was talking about. Later, when I asked her, she said I was leaving pieces of myself to be cleared and returned. As we walked around the site over and over again the energy would intensify, breathing would become difficult and I would feel like I was in a distortion. Sometime for only a short time and sometime it was like a timeless eternity. My mantra was "I allow". Once, early in the day, when we were walking back from the Sacred Cenote (well) on the sacred sacbe (path/road) I fell into the "I'm out of breath, I'm out of shape, I'm old, etc" mind talk. Then, I recognized that it was the energy of something that has facilitating my intent and allowed myself to honor the process. We arrived at the House of the Nuns (named by the Spanish) and Mary walked me around to an entrance that was used by the initiates of old. She said they would meditate outside the doorway until they felt they were ready then walk through. She asked me to do the same. I stood there filled with a knowing that this was why I had journeyed to Chichen Itza. Everything that had occurred was preparation for this time. When I knew I was ready I stepped toward the doorway. I felt the back of my neck expand several feet. I continued to walk forward. When I entered the small room the energy was so intense I had to lean against the wall to remain standing. I have no conscious memory of what occurred however; I have no doubt I entered another dimension. Slowly I returned to normal and walked out of the room by another doorway. Mary was waiting. As we walked away I looked down and saw a completely intact snake skin. A gift from Spirit. I accepted with gratitude. The next day I walked through more doorways and connected with past life memories at Uxmal and Kaba. Maybe another time I will write about what happened at these sites.
